HEAVEN explores the human quest for perfection. In this second part, we search for heaven, a place of ultimate perfection and harmony. But can humans survive in such a polished vacuum? In HEAVEN, three figures, having confronted their urges in Hell, embark on a journey to live without desire, in complete purity. But when a bout of diarrhea threatens to wash away all beauty and cleanliness, heaven slowly begins to crumble.
In HEAVEN, Collectief Het Paradijs examines, in their now-distinctive style, what humans are really looking for in heaven. The three performers fully immerse themselves in the most banal situations, where humor and tragedy seamlessly blend. An epic punk-mime performance you don’t want to miss.
The Rebirth Three-part series
With all humility, Collectief Het Paradijs takes on the role of a guide in the coming years, offering direction to the wandering soul. According to the collective, 21st-century humans are completely lost when it comes to good and evil, how to live life, and how to respond to their instincts. The tripping Rebirth triptych leads you through Rebirth Part I: HELL (2025), then Rebirth Part II: HEAVEN (2026), before returning with newfound direction in Rebirth Part III: EARTH (2027). Each performance connects, starting where the previous one ended in a cliffhanger.
About Collectief Het Paradijs
Collectief Het Paradijs creates cinematic raw and absurd theater. Their performances focus on humanity using a raw, absurdist movement language that highlights the banality of our daily lives. By combining the best elements of cinematic and punk theater, they clash absolutes to create layered, confusing, energetic, and simultaneously nuanced work.
HEAVEN verkent de menselijke zoektocht naar perfectie. In dit tweede deel zoeken we naar de hemel, een plaats van ultieme perfectie en harmonie. Maar kan de mens zich staande houden in zo’n gladgestreken vacuüm? In HEAVEN gaan drie figuren, na hun driften te zijn tegengekomen in de Hel, de reis aan om zonder drift te leven, in complete reinheid. Maar wanneer een diarree aanval alle schoonheid en reinheid lijkt weg te spoelen, begint de hemel langzaam af te brokkelen.
In HEAVEN onderzoekt Collectief Het Paradijs in hun inmiddels kenmerkende stijl, wat de mens te zoeken heeft in de hemel. De drie performers duiken vol overgave in de meest banale situaties waarin humor en tragiek samensmelten. Een epische punk-mime voorstelling die je niet mag missen.
De Rebirth triptiek
In alle nederigheid neemt Collectief Het Paradijs de komende jaren de rol op zich van gids om de dwalende mens houvast te geven. De eenentwintigste-eeuwse mens is volgens het Collectief volledig het spoor bijster over goed en kwaad, over hoe het leven te leven en hoe driften te beantwoorden. De trippende Rebirth triptiek leidt u door Rebirth part I. HELL (2025), vervolgens door Rebirth Part II. HEAVEN (2026), om met richting voor het leven terug te keren naar de Rebirth Part III. EARTH. (2027). Deze voorstellingen sluiten op elkaar aan, ze beginnen waar de vorige voorstelling met een cliffhanger eindigde.
