Parham Rahimzadeh is een schrijver en filmmaker die opgroeide in Schiedam. Na het behalen van zijn vwo-diploma studeerde hij fiscaal recht, voordat hij zich tot de literatuur wendde. Zijn debuutroman Arab (2021, Prometheus) volgt een jonge man uit Schiedam die zijn weg zoekt tussen criminaliteit, liefde en de zoektocht naar een betere toekomst, gebaseerd op Rahimzadeh's eigen ervaringen. Last Shot (2026) is zijn eerste korte film en verkent de thema’s censuur en rouw.

About the film
When Musa, a Palestinian in the Netherlands, receives his late brother’s camera, a Gaza photojournalist, he revives the final roll of film - forcing him to confront grief, censorship, and the weight of legacy.
About the maker
Parham Rahimzadeh is a writer and filmmaker who grew up in Schiedam. After completing his pre-university education, he studied tax law before turning to literature. His debut novel Arab (2021, Prometheus) follows a young man from Schiedam navigating crime, love and the search for a better future, drawing on Rahimzadeh’s own experiences. His first short film Last Shot (2026), exploring censorship and grief.
