Feeling Curious opens with a special performance by Alida Dors, HAYP and Gershwin Bonevacia – a theatre statement in music and poetry. Together they explore the theme Do You Have to Compromise?

Alida Dors – artistic director of Theater Rotterdam, choreographer and theatre maker – brings her signature mix of text and music to the opening night of Feeling Curious. She is joined by her band HAYP – the musical duo of keyboardist Patrick Mijnals and guitarist Alvin Lewis. HAYP has collaborated with Alida on her acclaimed performances [sur]render and Closed Eyes (returning to theatres in October 2025).

For this special opening, Gershwin Bonevacia joins the stage. “From the very first words, Bonevacia knows how to enchant,” wrote NRC about Gershwin Unplugged, the show with which the poet, spoken word artist and theatre maker performed at Festival De Parade. Together with his jazz band, Bonevacia now presents new work from his debut album Omhoog, in which themes of falling, rising and resilience take center stage.
