Senna Amarnis staat bekend als pionier in haar dansstijl als choreografe. Ze is een veelgevraagd docente en geeft les op dansopleidingen en workshops overal ter wereld. Nomad is haar eerste theaterstuk geïnspireerd door de eerste generatie migranten op Westerse grond die symbool staan als brug tussen de vorige generatie die vasthoudt aan hun herkomst en de volgende generatie die hun plek moet vinden in de nieuwe wereld.

Nomad verteld het verhaal over de onlosmakelijke band van eerste generatie die in verdeling valt en hun zoektocht volgt naar woorden om elkaar terug te vinden in de toenemende spanning van een in twee gesneden bevolking.

Senna Amarnis is een Marokkaanse professionele choreograaf, danser en artistiek coach, geboren en getogen in Nederland. Ze heeft meegedaan aan verschillende televisieshows zoals So You Think You Can Dance, World of Dance en Time to dance. Naast choreograferen heeft Senna gewerkt aan en opgetreden in de Love Yourself wereldtournee met de K-pop band BTS. Ze is internationaal een veelgevraagd jurylid en docente. Haar innovatieve stijl is een combinatie is van storytelling in combinatie met ingewikkelde shape-shifting bewegingen.

The play  captures the struggle,  resilience,   and ultimate triumph of these pioneers who navigate the complexities of identity in an ever- changing society.

The story unfolds through the eyes of the first generation, a generation torn between heritage and adaptation, as they search for a common language to bridge the gap between divided communities. Join us on this journey of self-discovery, unity, and the power of storytelling.
