Who dares to stand up and walk away?

Six performers build a table on a platform on an otherwise empty stage. They set the table and take their seats. As a spectator, you witness a world in which coming together at this table marks the beginning, while withdrawing from it takes center stage

Zes performers bouwen een tafel op een platform op een verder lege scène. Ze dekken de tafel en gaan eraan zitten. Als toeschouwer ben je getuige van een wereld waarin samenkomen aan deze tafel het begin is, maar het je hieruit onttrekken centraal staat. 

ALL TOGETHER NOW! zoomt gedetailleerd in op hoe mensen uit een situatie of rol stappen, en zal het achterlaten van iets dat eens dierbaar, belangrijk of onontkoombaar leek, zichtbaar maken. Samen met haar performers Sara De Roo, Patricia Kargbo, Janneke Remmers, Rodrigo Baptista, Stefan Jakiela, leidt regisseur Suze Milius (1986) je langs een serie van diepmenselijke taferelen. Elk tafereel toont het subtiele geweld dat zich manifesteert op het moment dat een mens radicaal durft te breken met een situatie. Maskers worden afgeworpen en werkelijkheid vervloeit met fictie in een doldraaiende wereld waar iedereen langzaam in koorzang zal vervallen. 
 
ALL TOGETHER NOW! komt net als haar eerdere theatervoorstellingen EXHIBIT (2015), Zwischen (2016), HUIS (2015-2017) en TALK SHOW (2018) voort uit het artistiek verlangen om iets dat voorheen onderhuids aanwezig en stemloos leek, te begrijpen en inzichtelijk te maken voor publiek.  

 

ALL TOGETHER NOW! takes a close and detailed look at how people step out of a situation or role, making visible the act of leaving behind something that once seemed dear, important or inescapable. Together with her performers Sara De Roo, Patricia Kargbo, Janneke Remmers, Rodrigo Baptista and Stefan Jakiela, director Suze Milius (1986) guides you through a series of deeply human scenes. Each scene reveals the subtle violence that manifests when a person dares to radically break away from a situation. Masks are shed and reality blends with fiction in a dizzying world where everyone will slowly merge into choral song.

Like her earlier theatre productions EXHIBIT (2015), Zwischen (2016), HUIS (2015–2017) and TALK SHOW (2018), ALL TOGETHER NOW! arises from an artistic desire to understand and make tangible for an audience something that previously seemed to exist beneath the surface, voiceless and unseen.
