In ‘The Idle Hour’ gaan Samuel Rhyner en William Blenkin de strijd aan met een bijzonder apparaat: een hamsterrad zo groot dat een mens erin lopen kan. Deze spannende en fysiek intensieve voorstelling houdt het publiek aan weerskanten van het rad op het puntje van de stoel en de aandacht van de toeschouwers constant gevangen.
De stuwende soundtrack en het niet aflatende ritme stellen het uithoudingsvermogen van de twee artiesten danig op de proef. Het rad wordt zowel symbool als instrument van hun existentiële strijd: een metafoor voor de eindeloze race naar een ongrijpbaar geluk.

In ‘The Idle Hour’, Samuel Rhyner and William Blenkin battle it out with a remarkable device: a hamster wheel so large that a human being can run inside it. This exciting and physically intense performance keeps the audience on both sides of the wheel on the edge of their seats and constantly captivates their attention.
The driving soundtrack and relentless rhythm put the endurance of the two artists to the test. The wheel becomes both a symbol and an instrument of their existential struggle: a metaphor for the endless race toward an elusive happiness.
