Waarom is samen dansen, geluid maken en zingen zo belangrijk voor ons als mens? Ons leven lang, van geboorte tot dood, vinden we houvast in songs, muziek, dans, poëzie… Want het zijn songs en dans die mensen verbinden, die steun geven in tijden van strijd of onrecht, of ontlading bieden in tijden van vreugde en feest.
8.2 was de eerste succesvolle jongerenvoorstelling van choreograaf en danser Radouan Mriziga, hetpaleis, fABULEUS en Moussem met rapmuziek het uitgangspunt.
If there were to be a song reflecting this day and age, what would it sound like? Ten young performers seek inspiration from protest, revolutionary, to celebratory songs, poetry , and movements of the past and present. With an eye on the world of today, they create a song for tomorrow. Because when the world is on fire, maybe that's all there is left to do.
Why are the acts of dancing and singing together so crucial for human beings? From the time we are born through to the moment we die, we feel safe in the world of song, music, dance, poetry and all related aspects. Because songs and dance unite us and give us certainty in times of war and injustice, and allow us to release ourselves in times of joy and communal gathering .
Hip hop music was the starting point in 8.2, the first successful youth show by choreographer and dancer Radouan Mriziga, hetpaleis, fABULEUS and Moussem.
