Ready for a unique date? Meet your ideal theatre companion during a theatrical first encounter. After several successful editions, Dating the Unknown is back!

We believe in encounters that go beyond first impressions. During Dating the Unknown, we match you with a fellow attendee based on your answers to a short questionnaire. You might meet a potential romantic partner, a new friend, or someone who broadens your perspective on the world. Whatever the outcome, you can count on a special theatre experience and an unexpected connection.

Taking part is easy. Book a ticket using the ticket button on this page and select the ticket type Unknown. Please note: do not purchase your ticket through the regular performance page, as those tickets are intended for visitors who are not participating in Dating the Unknown.

After completing your purchase, you will receive a confirmation email containing a questionnaire. Fill it in, and our matchmakers will get to work finding your match.

How does the evening unfold?

We’ll welcome you an hour before the performance at our ‘Love Desk’, where you’ll meet our team of matchmakers. To avoid any awkward surprises, they will have emailed you the day before to let you know what you’ve been matched on. They’ll also be available throughout the evening to answer any questions you may have.

While you enjoy a complimentary drink, our matchmakers will arrange your first introduction. After that, it’s up to you to get to know each other before the performance of your choice begins.

Once the performance is over, you're free to head home. Not quite ready for your date to end? You’re more than welcome to stay for another drink and continue the conversation.

F*cking Future brengt de spanning in beeld tussen strijdlust en militarisering. De voorstelling onderzoekt en bevraagt de systemen die bepalen hoe we ons lichaam gebruiken en hoe we ons gedragen. Op een vierzijdig podium laat een collectief zien hoe het beweegt tussen strakheid en flexibiliteit, tussen discipline en verlangen. Zo zoeken ze naar nieuwe manieren om samen te komen en in verzet te gaan. We blijven hier, en bieden weerstand door in beweging te blijven.

Feeling Curious? In Late to the Party laat Choreograaf Trajal Harrell zich inspireren door muzieklegende en burgerrechtenactiviste Nina Simone. De aanleiding is een persoonlijke ontmoeting waarvan de resonantie zich pas jaren later ontvouwt: de ontdekking van Simone als stem, als lichaam, als attitude. De choreografie beweegt zich op het spanningsveld tussen stem en muziek, klassieke vorm en radicale expressie. Een stuk over luisteren, ontdekken wat je jarenlang over het hoofd zag en de onherroepelijke betovering van een iconisch figuur.

(Nog) geen plannnen voor valentijnsdag? Glen Faria neemt je mee in MAN, een rauw en persoonlijk theaterconcert vol muziek en innerlijke stemmen. Live nummers en scherpe verhalen botsen met verwachtingen. Wie ben je als je altijd moet schakelen? Een voorstelling die raakt, schuurt en blijft hangen.

Amour is een voorstelling over hoe de liefde ons leven richting geeft en bepaalt. Hoe proberen we te houden van de ander en van onszelf? Zeven queer acteurs gooien hun stem en hun lichaam in de strijd om een universeel en liefdevol verhaal te vertellen. Een voorstelling als een hartslag, een adem, een kolkende zee.

F*cking Future brings into focus the tension between resistance and militarization. The performance explores and questions the systems that shape how we use our bodies and how we behave. On a four-sided stage, a collective demonstrates how it moves between rigidity and flexibility, between discipline and desire. In doing so, they search for new ways of coming together and resisting. We are here to stay, resisting by remaining in motion.

Feeling Curious? Late to the Party sees choreographer Trajal Harrell draw inspiration from music icon and civil rights activist Nina Simone. The starting point is a personal encounter whose resonance only unfolds years later: the discovery of Simone as a voice, a body, and an attitude. The choreography moves through the tension between voice and music, classical form and radical expression. A work about listening, recognizing what has long gone unnoticed, and the enduring enchantment of an iconic figure.

Live songs and sharp storytelling collide with expectations. Who are you when you're constantly adapting? A performance that hits hard, challenges, and stays with you long after it's over.
