Dietrich Pott takes the audience on a journey through the hinterlands of Suriname. Starting with breakdance, passing through Afrodance and traditional African dance styles, he narrates a story from Afro-Surinamese Winti belief in the family performance "Kromanti." In this production, the dancers explore their spirits to the rhythms of live percussion.

Having conducted two months of research on traditional African dance styles in Suriname and Africa, Dietrich Pott developed a new style inspired by his experiences during this journey: Afro-breakdance. In the hinterlands of Suriname, he became acquainted with the ritual Afro-Surinamese secret language, Kromanti. Pott translated the religion and atmosphere from the villages into vibrant scenes in "Kromanti."

B-boy Dietje earned his stripes in the battle scene and in the theater. With his skills, he contributed to elevating breakdance into an art form that extended beyond the street. Five years ago, he created his first performance. Pott possesses his own explosive and spectacular style, inspired by his Surinamese roots.
