Dansmaker Clara Furey creëert met UNARMOURED een levendige chaos. Ze laat een denkbeeldige zee op het podium stromen, waar golven oneindig lijken en grenzen vervagen. Waar lichamen niet in vorm maar in energie gezien worden. Ongewapend en kwetsbaar, verbinding zoekend met de wereld.

Clara Furey onderzoekt, in lijn met Dog Rising, een vorm van Kosmisch-Eroticisme. Het ziet er niet uit als porno of wat we van erotiek verwachten, maar eerder een benadering van soft-core. Ze erkent dat we allemaal abstract beginnen, zonder gender, en naarmate we ons ontwikkelen nemen we een gendergerichte vorm aan al gevolg van verwachte prestatie of constructies van sociale projecties. Kosmisch-Eroticisme probeert het lichaam weer abstract te maken en de grenzen er van te verleggen. Het idee is om ermee in te stemmen geen enkel wezen te zijn, maar een beroep te doen op het kosmische bereik. Opnieuw enorm worden... de vrijheid die dat zou kunnen bieden.

Repetitive waves of cosmic eroticism

In an enchanting garden, bodies tremble to the rhythm of light and sound. Jolting and compelling, they arouse desires. They claim the right to eroticism on their terms. Choreographer Clara Furey creates a vibrant chaos with UNARMOURED. She unleashes an imaginary sea on the stage, where waves appear infinite and boundaries blur. Where bodies are seen not in form but in energy. Unarmed and vulnerable, seeking connection with the world.

Clara Furey explores, in line with Dog Rising, a form of Cosmic-Eroticism. It doesn't look like porn or what we expect from eroticism, but rather a soft-core approach. She acknowledges that we all start off abstract, without gender, and as we develop, we take on a gender-specific form as a result of expected performance or constructs of social projections. Cosmic-Eroticism aims to abstract the body again and push its boundaries. The idea is to agree not to be a single being, but to appeal to the cosmic range. Becoming vast again... the freedom that could offer.
