In Guess who’s back verwelkomen YoungGangsters je op hun anarchistische openluchtdienst in het diepe zuiden van de USA met vurige preken, opzwepende beats en swingende gospel. In een happening vol humor, muziek en spektakel verkennen vier atheïsten de schoonheid van religie en de valkuil van groepsdruk en manipulatie. Hoe ver ga je mee? Guess who’s back leidt onontkoombaar naar een laatste, cruciale keuze…

YoungGangsters is het jonge regiecollectief van Lotte Bos en Annechien de Vocht. Sinds hun afstuderen aan de Toneelacademie in Maastricht in 2009 werken ze samen. In hun voorstellingen zoeken ze steeds naar het moment waarop de drift het overneemt van de ratio. Met spektakel en humor proberen ze het publiek te verleiden om over morele grenzen heen te gaan en zich over te geven aan het genot van de drift.

YoungGangsters kreeg in 2013 het Theater Stipendium 2013 van het Prins Bernhard Cultuurfonds. In 2014 zijn ze met The new Rambo generation genomineerd voor de BNG Nieuwe Theatermakersprijs.

YoungGangster burgermenu
Speciaal voor de Young Gangsters' voorstellingen heeft het Paviljoen een Young Gangsters Menu gedurende 31 mei tot en met 3 juni. Voor €9,90 krijg je hun bekende Paviljoen Gasconne Cheese Burger met rozemarijn&knoflook frietjes en een frisse salade. Daarnaast wordt op 4 juni een BBQ georganiseerd waarbij iedereen uitgenodigd is om te genieten van een stukje vlees, salade en andere lekkernijen voor €10. 

Extra donderdag 2 juni gratis Praatje Plaatje Van Gospel tot Beliebers
Voor de voorstelling van donderdag 2 juni kan je van 18:45 tot 19:30 ook gratis naar een speciale YoungGangsters-editie van Plaatje Praatje in het Polak-gebouw zaal 2-16 (2e verdieping). Het wordt verzorgd door popjournalist Jan Vollaard, bekend van NRC en OOR, en muziekfreak Louise de Koning. Goedkoop sentiment of een oprechte religieuze ervaring? Plaatje Praatje toont de kracht van popmuziek om de luisteraar mee te sleuren in haar wereld. Kijk voor meer info op www.plaatjepraatje.org.

Praktische informatie
LET OP! De voorstelling vindt buiten plaats in het midden van de Plaza van de Erasmus Universiteit. Mocht het gaan regenen dan zijn er poncho's aanwezig en mocht het koud zijn dan kun je lekker onder een dekentje gaan zitten.

Bereikbaarheid 
De Erasmus Universiteit Rotterdam is met de fiets, het openbaar vervoer en met de auto goed bereikbaar. Door werkzaamheden aan de Burgemeester Oudlaan is het advies gebruik te maken van tram 21, de metro of bussen richting Kralingse Zoom. In Guess who’s back the YoungGangsters welcome you to their anarchist open air church service in the deep south of the USA with fierce preaches, exciting beats and swinging gospel. In a happening full of humor, music and spectacle, four atheists explore the beauty of religion and the pitfall of peer pressure and manipulation. How far will you go? Guess who’s back will inevitably lead to a final and crucial choice…

YoungGangsters is the young directorial collective of Lotte Bos and Annechien de Vocht. Since their graduation from the Toneelacademie of Maastricht in 2009 they have been working together. In their performances they keep looking for the moment where rage takes over from ratio. With spectacle and humor they try to tempt the audience to step over moral boundaries and surrender to the pleasure of rage.

YoungGangsters was awarded the Theater Stipendium 2013 of the Prins Bernhard Cultuurfonds. In 2014 they were nominated with the New Rambo Generation for the BNG Nieuwe Theatermakersprijs.

YoungGangster burger menu
For the Young Gangsters performances from the 31st of May until June 3rd the Paviljoen will have a special Young Gangsters Menu. For only €9,90 you will get their famous Gasconne Cheese burger with rosemary&garlic fries and a fresh salad. Besides that, they will have a scrumptious BBQ, Saturday 4th of June, open for everyone to come for only €10. For that price you will get some delicious meats, salads and many other snacks, bites and bits. 

Free Plaatje Praatje From Gospel to Beliebers June 2nd
Before the performance on Thursday June 2nd from 18:45 until 19:30 you can enjoy the free and special YoungGangsters-edition of Plaatje Praatje at the Polak-building, room 2-16 (2nd floor). The programme is brought to you by pop journalist Jan Vollaard, well-known for NRC and OOR, and music freak Louise de Koning. Cheap sentiment or an honest religious experience? Praatje Plaatje shows the power of pop music pulling the listener into her world. For more information, see www.plaatjepraatje.org.

Practical information
ATTENTION! The performance will take place outside at the center of the Plaza of the Erasmus University. When it's raining ponchos are avaliable and when it's cold you can use the blanket which lies on the stand.

Erasmus University Rotterdam is easy to reach by bicycle, public transport and by car. Due to maintenance on the Burgemeester Oudlaan we advise you to take tram 21, the metro or busses going to Kralingse Zoom.
