About Feeling Curious?

Feeling Curious? brings the international vanguard of performance art to Rotterdam. For eleven days, it presents leading artists alongside emerging voices, showcasing work that cannot easily be pinned down: cutting across disciplines, radical, and confronting the tensions of our time.

This edition brings together artists who explore how the past continues to shape the urgent questions of today and the future. Under the theme Your History is (Y)our Future, they expose what has shaped us and imagine alternatives.

History is not the past tense.  It is present in who we are and how we see the world: in borders and power structures, in who gets to tell the stories and what is remembered or forgotten. The programme brings questions of origin, identity, migration, emancipation and what we pass on to new generations into sharp focus. Whose shoulders do we stand on? What do we pass on, and what do we want to change or break with? To arrive somewhere else, you first have to imagine that things could be different.

Discover performances, films, talks, workshops, and parties, and meet artists and audiences both inside and beyond the theater.

Stay curious. Question what you know.
